In an effort to raise awareness about domestic violence, a local organization is displaying victims' shirts in Blair County.

Family Services Inc. sponsored its annual Clothesline Project in Altoona Tuesday night. The project collects and displays shirts from family members of domestic violence victims, including those who've been abused, assaulted or killed.

Organizers said hanging up the shirts symbolizes victims and their families putting the worst moments of their lives behind them.

Family Services will hold an open house at its Broad Avenue location on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
